Invigoration is a clearly detailed yoga practice designed to help students explore challenges beyond the beginning practices of yoga and discover new sources of flexibility, strength, and vitality. The posture flow includes a standing sequence that has been an honored foundation of the take-home practice for the Men’s Yoga Quest programs at Kripalu. This sequence includes postures that create deep openings in the hips, shoulders, spine, back, and legs, and the pranayama practices of kapala bhati, bhastrika, and nadi shodana.
This series also includes abdominal pumping, a powerful kryia (cleansing technique) that tones abdominal muscles, revitalizes the organs of digestion and elimination, and stimulates the heart, liver, adrenal glands, diaphragm, solar plexus, and lungs.
